CASTLE
THE TIME TUNNEL
The only elevator in the world that goes up in history and down in the future also holds the special record of making the longest approved run in Romania, 31,5 meters, between the two stations.
All resources used for the Time Tunnel are original Romanian creations, including the music and perfume, specially designed to sensory complement the visual experience offered by the light and image show.
COUNT DRACULA
Bran Castle offers you an exploration into the history of stories about myths and horrors, about symbols and their meaning, and these could not be complete without the exposition of the cruelest ruler of Wallachia, Vlad the Impaler, who, following the novel published by Bram Stoker, gained the fame of Dracula.
TORTURE CHAMBERS
Bran Castle hosts an exhibition of over 50 medieval torture instruments, replicas of real ones, invented in the Middle Ages and used in countries such as France, Germany, Spain, Poland and Italy. Among the most terrifying torture instruments on display are the "Nuremberg Maiden", the "Judas Cradle", the "Witches' Goat", the "Inquisitorial Chair", accompanied by suggestive illustrations.
QUEEN MARIE
Bran Castle is strongly marked by the imprint of Queen Marie, who created a very special royal residence, in which Romanian culture harmoniously blends with the European one, both inspired by the Sovereign's personality. The transformation carried out by the Queen after 1920 brought the small medieval fortress to the glory of a Royal Castle, used as a summer residence.
RESTAURANT
Access to the Castle Restaurant is daily, between 09:00 and 20:00 (Tuesday-Sunday), and on Mondays between 12:00 and 20:00, and does not require the purchase of a visiting ticket.
